EYBL session 3 took place in Hampton Virginia at the Boo Williams complex. Overall players and teams looked more comfortable and cohesive to playing on the big stage. The first session without coaches on premises might have eased the nerves of some of the players. However needless to say the games were well played and loaded with talent from top to bottom.
Mokan Elite pulled out a big win over the NY Rens. Michael Porter and Trae Young were fantastic. Despite solid play from Samson George, Hamadou Diallo, Jordan Tucker and Jordan Nwora the RENS came out with the loss. Mokan Elite finished the weekend with wins over the Oakland soldiers, Team United and The Phoenix family. Mokan Elite complete 3 sessions with 10-1 record and showed why they will be one of the teams to beat in Peach jam.
Howard Pulley concluded session 3 with an 11-0 record. Gary Trent and Brad Davison have lead Howard Pulley thus far. Pulley has more than cemented themselves a spot in the Nike peach jam tournament as a high seed. Pulley will definitely be a tough out for any team in July or the upcoming session in Atlanta.
PSA went 3-0 to during session 3 and conclude with an overall record of 10-1. Mohamed Bamba sat out this session as the PSA cardinals handle business behind stellar play from Quade Green Deng Gak and Brandon Randolph. PSA remain in first place going into session 4 while they rest Bamba for the upcoming session and Peach Jam.
California Supreme behind future lottery pick DeAndre Ayton concluded 3 sessions with 7-4 record as they continue to improve throughout the sessions.
NY Rens behind the scoring tandem of Jordan Nwora, Hamadou Diallo, Jordan Tucker are 7-4 as well. Jose Alvarado and Samson George played extremely well for Andy Borman and the Rens in session 3. The Rens remain in second place in there division as they get ready for Session 4.
Expression Elite 5-6 picked it up after a loss to Team Penny. Behind solid performances from Nicholas Richards, Kimani Lawrence and Jermaine Samuels expression put themselves in good position make the Peach jam tournament in July. The team is jelling at the right time. However Expressions fate rides on the back if Nicholas Richards. Session 4 will cement there post season chances if they can pick up 2 wins at least out of the 5 upcoming games.
