Expression Elite gain a Peach Jam berth behind explosive performances from Jermaine Samuels 6’6 wing and Kimani Lawrence 6’7 forward. While Nicholas Richards anchors the paint for Expression Elite. There only losses came to the NY Rens and the PSA Cardinals. Congrats to Expressions coaching staff for putting it all together.
NY Rens gain a Peach Jam berth as well. The scoring quartet of Hamadou Diallo, Jordan Nwora, Jordan Tucker and Jose Alvarado seem unable to display the team chemistry that PSA, Mokan and Team Penny display throughout the sessions thus far. Thus far when Samson George gets 20 mins or more this team tends to compete at the level of the Elite EYBL teams. Georges production is key for this team to get more offensive possessions as well as closing out defensive possessions. Chris Eupfreti 7’0 and Greg Calixte also will need to step up. Defense and rebounding are two important components for this Rens team to move forward in the EYBL Peach Jam.
Las Vegas prospects look good behind the leadership of Charles O’ Bannon 6’6 wing and Troy Brown jr 6’6 forward. This team played extremely well in session 4. Unfortunately, they may not be a Peach Jam qualifier this year. The Las Vegas Prospects await the EYBL selection committee on whether they qualify or not for the Peach Jam tournament this year.
Phoenix Family also made a solid push behind stellar play from Marvin Bagley 2018 number one prospect and Cody Riley 2017 prospect. The Bagley and Riley combination proved to be extremely tough for teams to defend this past weekend. The Phoenix also await the committees decision as they have made a serious case by picking up some quality wins in session 4 this past weekend. Wins against the NY Rens, Oakland soldiers and the Las Vegas Prospects should help there case with the Eybl committee. It would be great to see the combination of Bagley and Riley in the Peach Jam tournament this year.
